Our Patient Care segment operates the largest network of O&P patient care clinics in the nation, while our Products & Services segment distributes branded and private label O&P devices and provides rehabilitative solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with physicians in evaluating and recommending pedorthic services based on patient needs.
  • Evaluate and formulate design of pedorthic devices, selecting appropriate materials and making necessary measurements.
  • Perform fitting procedures, ensuring devices fit correctly and function effectively.
  • Instruct patients on the proper use of pedorthic, orthotic, or prosthetic devices.
  • Evaluate and address issues related to patient satisfaction with devices provided.
  • Provide follow-up care and communicate with patients and physicians as needed.
  • Train physicians and allied health professionals on pedorthic services.
  • Manage materials and processes to ensure high-quality outcomes and cost-effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with case managers and other referral sources to secure ongoing and future patient referrals.
  • Develop and implement strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets.
  • Create detailed clinical notes for patient records.
  • Mentor newly certified clinicians.
  • Assist other clinical staff as needed.
  • Contribute to administrative tasks related to reimbursement.

Qualifications

  • Current board certification in Pedorthics from the American Board for Certification (ABC) or the Board of Certification (BOC).
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience to meet board eligibility.
  • A valid driver’s license and driving record meeting Hanger’s standards.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain state licensure if required.
  • At least 5 years of past experience in providing prosthetic and/or orthotic services under the supervision of a certified clinician (for candidates not certified or board-eligible).
