About the role

Select Ortho is seeking CPED-Orthotic fitters at multiple locations in Deer Valley (85027) and Mesa (85206). We provide orthoses and durable medical equipment to orthopedic practices and patients, emphasizing a culture of excellence and customer satisfaction.

What we do

• Provide fitting, patient education, and follow-up care for orthotic devices
• Educate patients on insurance plans, financial responsibilities, and collections
• Track, maintain, and order inventory for clinics
• Promote and foster positive relationships with healthcare professionals and external parties
• Maintain compliance with documentation and regulations

Position Duties

• Fit, educate, and monitor patients for orthotic devices
• Collect patient portions and manage insurance claims
• Manage inventory and ensure compliance with regulations
• Communicate with physicians, patients, and other healthcare professionals
• Work collaboratively with DMEPOS Coordinators and Billing Specialists

Requirements

• Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, and databases
• Alpha and numeric data entry skills
• The ability to work quickly and accurately, and pay attention to detail
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, insurance claims, and benefits
• Experience in medical billing and collection practices
• Basic medical coding and third-party operating procedures
• Knowledge of biomechanics

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent, unless required by state law
• Must currently hold Certified Pedorthist Certification or 3 years experience fitting custom foot and ankle orthosis
• A BA or BS degree preferred, Certified Pedorthist, Certified Orthotic Fitter, Certified Orthotist
• Active in an active clinical environment requiring regular walking and use of standard office equipment
• Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, frequent lifting of items weighing 20 pounds or more, and sometimes lifting items weighing 5 pounds or more overhead
• Minimum travel for training purposes
