About the role
Responsible for managing comprehensive pedorthic patient care based on physician prescriptions. This includes patient assessment, developing, and implementing treatment plans using footwear, shoe modifications, foot orthoses, and other pedorthic devices to address foot and lower limb issues.
Responsibilities
- Fit, fabricate, adjust, and modify pedorthic devices to meet patient needs.
- Demonstrate professionalism and expertise in patient care and device management.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Qualifications and Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certification as a Certified Pedorthist required.
- Preferably at least one year of experience in direct client care under supervision of a qualified practitioner.
- Certification through ABC or BOC necessary.
- Valid Class D driver’s license with a good driving record.
