About the Role
Oversee clinical operations at ACS sites in the Bronx and Brooklyn, providing medical and dental services to at-risk youth in juvenile detention centers.
Responsibilities
- Direct patient care through medical screenings, evaluations, and primary care for adolescents.
- Serve as liaison between hospitals, ACS, and other medical facilities.
- Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate medical and dental staff, ensuring adherence to protocols and standards.
- Participate in quality improvement, case management, and in-service training activities.
- Manage dental services, contractual obligations, and coordinate care transfers with hospitals and agencies.
- Ensure compliance with federal regulations (HIPAA) and grant reporting requirements.
- Coordinate staffing, review staff performance, and oversee clinical protocols.
- Optional involvement in research related to healthcare in collaboration with leadership.
Requirements
- MD or DO from an accredited school, with Board Certification in Pediatrics or Family Medicine.
- Experience with urban adolescent populations and hospital administration preferred.
- Minimum three years of relevant experience.
- Bilingual skills in Spanish or other languages are a plus.
