Pediatrics Medical & Front Office Assistant
About the role
We are seeking a Pediatric Medical Assistant and Front Office Assistant with a passion for service excellence to join our Pediatric team in the Dallas area. The Pediatric MA/FOA would support pediatric providers in delivering quality healthcare services to infants, children, and adolescents.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations by collecting medical histories and recording vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, height, weight, and BMI.
- Create a welcoming, clean, organized, and patient-friendly environment for patients and visitors.
- Deliver excellent customer service by treating all patients and guests with courtesy and respect, both in person and over the phone.
- Schedule appointments, verify insurance coverage, manage patient intake/check-out, and ensure timely access to care.
- Collaborate with providers, care teams, and enrollment staff to address patient concerns and support a positive new-patient experience.
- Assist pediatric providers during examinations and minor procedures, including administering vaccines and medications within scope of practice.
- Perform laboratory tests, maintain accurate and confidential patient records, and support efficient clinic operations.
- Educate parents and caregivers on treatment plans, medications, immunizations, and follow-up care while supporting pediatric workflows and immunization programs.
Requirements
- Experience with Pediatrics is a plus
- At least one (1) year of related experience, prior experience in a community-based clinic is a plus
- Strong MS Office Suite skills (Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
- High school diploma and/or Medical Assistant Certification would be a plus
- Experience with eCW or similar electronic medical record system
- Knowledge of computers and data entry with a high level of accuracy
- Excellent patient engagement and communication skills
- Bilingual in Spanish, Burmese, Pashto, Rohingya is a plus
- BLS/CPR Certification up to date
