Pediatrics - Hospital Medicine (Associate Professor)

About the role

The Baylor College of Medicine Division of Pediatric Hospital Medicine is seeking an inpatient faculty physician for Texas Children’s Hospital on the Medical Center Campus in the Texas Medical Center, Houston, Texas. The position joins a diverse group of hospitalists focused on family‑centered care, clinical research, teaching, quality improvement, and patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient hospitalist care for a broad range of pediatric medical conditions, including complex and behavioral health cases.
• Supervise and educate medical students and house staff from the nation’s largest pediatric residency program.
• Participate in clinical research, quality‑improvement projects, and patient‑safety initiatives.
• Collaborate with world‑renowned subspecialists and contribute to unique programs such as the dedicated inpatient complex care team and the newly established inpatient behavioral health team.

Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE) in Pediatrics.
• Excellent communication and time‑management skills.
• Willingness to provide clinical supervision and didactic education to learners.

Preferred qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Hospital Medicine (preferred but not required).
