Pediatrics - Cardiology

About the role

The Pediatric Cardiologist will provide comprehensive evaluation and management of fetuses, neonates, infants, children, and adolescents with congenital and acquired cardiovascular conditions in both inpatient and outpatient settings. They will collaborate closely with Maternal-Fetal Medicine colleagues for prenatal screening, diagnosis, counseling, and management of fetuses with congenital heart disease and cardiac dysrhythmias.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive evaluation and management of congenital and acquired cardiovascular conditions in both inpatient and outpatient settings
• Collaborate with Maternal-Fetal Medicine colleagues for prenatal screening, diagnosis, counseling, and management of fetuses with congenital heart disease and cardiac dysrhythmias
• Contribute to a highly coordinated, family-centered care model that supports patients throughout the continuum of care
• Collaborate with pediatric cardiology colleagues throughout Northern California, as well as with pediatric cardiac surgery and interventional cardiology programs and academic partners

Requirements

• Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Pediatrics and Pediatric Cardiology
• Experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings preferred
• Strong clinical, communication, and teaching skills
• A strong commitment to patient- and family-centered care
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative academic and clinical environment

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree
• Current Medical License in California
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency program in Pediatrics
• Completion of a Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship (preferred)
