About the role

Sherwood Family Medical Center (SFMC), in conjunction with Baptist Health and Arkansas Health Group (AHG), is seeking a Pediatrician to join an established group of four Pediatricians and six Family Medicine physicians. The recruitment need is due to the unanticipated departure of one of the pediatricians. The new physician will assume their patients and will continue to grow the practice by accepting new patients and newborns from Sherwood and the surrounding communities. Sherwood is a community of 33,000 people located just a few miles north of Little Rock, offering a hometown atmosphere while conveniently located to the entertainment and amenities of a larger metropolitan area.

Responsibilities

• Assume patient panel from departing pediatrician and continue to grow the practice by accepting new patients and newborns.
• See an average of 5,200 annual visits (approximately 20 patients per day).
• Work with a dedicated nurse to address patient needs and a pool of nurses to room patients.
• Collaborate with on‑site behavioral health specialists for patient support.
• Utilize the services of a pediatric nurse who acts as a care coordinator, vaccine expert, and referral specialist for specialty consults.
• Have access to in‑house x‑ray and laboratory services.
