Pay Range: $9,501.92 - $12,397.81 semimonthly

We’re seeking a visionary and dynamic leader who is creative in problem-solving and contributes new ideas and solutions to join our team as an Integrated Clinical Services Pediatric Physician.

Responsibilities

• Comprehensive Primary Care:
  • Provide comprehensive primary medical care to pediatric patients, addressing a wide range of health concerns and conditions.
  • Conduct thorough physical examinations, order diagnostic tests, and formulate evidence-based treatment plans.
• Preventive Healthcare:
  • Emphasize and implement preventive healthcare measures to promote overall well-being.
  • Administer vaccinations, conduct screenings, and provide guidance on healthy lifestyle choices.
• Therapeutic Relationship:
  • Establish and maintain a therapeutic and trusting relationship with patients and their families.
  • Foster effective communication and collaboration in the decision-making process.
• Cultural Competence:
  • Demonstrate cultural competence in interactions with patients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Recognize and respect unique cultural and linguistic needs, tailoring care approaches accordingly.
• Access to Healthcare:
  • Advocate for and facilitate access to healthcare services for underserved communities, including those with limited financial resources.
  • Collaborate with community organizations to address barriers to healthcare access.
• Health Education:
  • Educate patients and families about preventive measures, proper nutrition, and healthy lifestyle choices.
  • Provide guidance on managing chronic conditions and support informed decision-making.
• Collaborative Care:
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including nurses, nurse practitioners, social workers, and specialists.
  • Participate in case conferences to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
• Continuing Professional Development:
  • Stay updated on advancements in pediatric medicine through continuous learning and professional development.
  • Maintain licensure and certifications to provide high-quality care.
• Clinical Duties:
  • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions, including conducting comprehensive health assessments, physical exams, and diagnostic tests.
  • Devise and monitor treatment plans, prescribe medications, and provide patient counseling.
  • Utilize panel-based information technology tools to prioritize proactive care, including preventive health screenings and chronic disease management.
  • Follow up on utilization issues (e.g., ED visits, hospital admissions).
  • Maintain training on new systems and processes to support patient health improvement and quality of care.
  • Establish need for specialty and rehabilitative services and make appropriate referrals.
  • Assess and counsel patients on preventive care needs; deliver services or make referrals as needed.
  • Determine need/schedule for high-risk referrals, documenting reasons and medical necessity in EHR.
  • Provide clinical consultation to Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, nurses, and support staff.
  • Coordinate with Behavioral Health providers to integrate care for overall patient health and experience.
  • Provide coverage for clinical colleagues in their absence.
  • Participate in conferences, committees, and related events to improve public health processes and standards.
  • Complete patient documentation and manage electronic in-basket according to established policies.
  • Tag records for follow-up, consultation, or verification to ensure comprehensive documentation.
  • Enter encounter and event codes for accurate billing to minimize errors.

Requirements

We will consider any combination of relevant work experience, volunteering, education, and transferable skills unless an item or section is labeled required.

• Education/Training/Experience:
  • Graduation from an accredited school of Medicine.
  • One (1) year residency in a primary care setting.
• Certification:
  • Possession of, or ability to obtain, an appropriate and valid license to practice medicine in the State of Oregon and ability to obtain credentialing approval.
  • CPR Certification.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Board Certification/Board Eligibility in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
  • Transferable skills gained through education, work experience (including military), or life experience relevant to this position.
