About the role

The Division of Pediatric Urology in the Department of Urology at Stanford University seeks a board-certified, fellowship-trained pediatric urologist with an MD or MD/PhD (or equivalent) to join as Associate Professor or Professor in the University Medical Line or University Tenure Line.

We are particularly interested in candidates with an established track record of clinical excellence and scholarship in basic, translational, and/or clinical research related to pediatric urology.

The predominant criterion for appointment in the University Tenure Line is a major commitment to research and teaching. For the University Medical Line, excellence in clinical care, clinical teaching, scholarly activity advancing clinical medicine, and institutional service is required.

Faculty rank and line will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a clinical practice focused on pediatric urology at Stanford Health Care and Stanford Medicine Children’s Health, including potential outreach sites in the San Francisco Bay Area.
  • Establish and maintain a robust research program with potential for extramural funding support.
  • Engage in clinical teaching, scholarly activity, and institutional service appropriate to the programmatic needs.

Requirements

  • Board-certified, fellowship-trained pediatric urologist with an MD or MD/PhD (or equivalent).
  • Track record of extramural funding and regionally or nationally recognized scholarship.
  • Service to national organizations and clinical expertise in pediatric urology.
  • Commitment to fostering an open and respectful academic environment for colleagues, students, and staff from diverse backgrounds.

Pay

The expected base pay range for this position is:

  • Associate Professor: $422,000 - $458,000
  • Professor: $486,000 - $566,000

This range reflects base pay based on faculty rank and years in rank. It does not include additional components of the School of Medicine’s faculty compensation program or pay from participation in departmental incentive compensation programs. The final pay offered will be determined by factors such as experience, qualifications, internal equity, and external market pay for comparable roles.
