About the role
Seeking an individual to expand the Division of Pediatric Orthopedics and the Division of Spine Surgery at University Orthopedics.
Responsibilities
- Involvement in Clinical Practice
- Teaching residents in the nationally recognized Brown Orthopedic Residency and medical students from The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University
- Research through the nationally ranked Orthopedic research Lab or via the Clinical Research Coordinator
- Academic appointment at the Warren Alpert Medical School potentially available at the Assistant or Associate Professor level, commensurate with experience
- Developing leadership and mentoring skills to participate in residency and fellowship leadership
Qualifications
- Fellowship-trained in pediatric orthopedics with an interest in General Pediatric Orthopedics and Spine Surgery, Pediatric and Adult
- Provide general pediatric orthopedic care at Hasbro Children’s Hospital, including multidisciplinary clinical care and trauma coverage at our Level 1 Trauma Center
- Subspecialty in spine surgery in both Pediatric and Adult deformity would be beneficial
- University Orthopedics, Inc is the clinical practice affiliated with The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University and Lifespan Hospitals, including Rhode Island Hospital/Hasbro Children's Hospital
