Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) -Wheaton

About the role

A dedicated and compassionate clinic-based Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our multidisciplinary team of top therapists in Wheaton, IL.

Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based, play-focused pediatric therapy
• Implement therapeutic approaches such as Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) Approach to Feeding, Get Permission Approach, Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), and Intentional Relationship Model (IRM)
• Collaborate daily with occupational and physical therapists, and social workers
• Document progress and communicate with families to support continuity of care

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an ASHA accredited program
• Current license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of Illinois
• Experience working with children ages 2-7 years old with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, sensory processing disorder, and other neurodiverse needs
• Knowledge of and experience implementing therapeutic approaches such as Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) Approach to Feeding, Get Permission Approach, Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), and Intentional Relationship Model (IRM)

• Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
• Strong communication skills
• Experience with documenting progress and communicating with families
