Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans to assist clients with cognitive, speech, language, feeding/swallowing, and/or social/emotional functioning
• Perform evaluations and interpret assessment results to develop and administer speech therapy services
• Create and implement speech and language treatment plans in collaboration with physicians
• Coordinate care with referring physicians and other healthcare organizations
• Instruct clients, family/caregivers, and other healthcare personnel in treatment plans
• Identify client and family/caregiver needs for additional services and refer as necessary
• Prepare and submit documentation according to organizational policies
• Maintain clinical competency in speech-language pathology

Requirements

• A master's or doctoral degree in speech-language pathology (SLP)
• ASHA Certification or documentation of passing PRAXIS exam and completion of a Clinical Fellow/Externship
• Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) License in the state of Utah
• Active BLS certification
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance
• A minimum of 1-year clinical experience in SLP (not required)
