About the role

The position offers light call volume, opportunities to participate in lectures, grand rounds, research, and quality improvement projects. It is mainly outpatient focused, with some inpatient consultation. The role involves working with pediatric residents and medical students and has an appointment with Baylor College of Medicine-Temple.

Responsibilities

• Participate in lectures, grand rounds, research, and quality improvement projects
• Work with pediatric residents and medical students
• Contribute to the educational environment at Baylor College of Medicine-Temple
• Provide outpatient and inpatient care as needed

Requirements

• Board certification in Pediatric Rheumatology from the American Board of Medical Specialties or the Bureau of Osteopathic Specialists
• Licensed to practice medicine in the state of Texas

Qualifications

• Doctorate Degree in Medicine
• Experience in pediatric rheumatology preferred

• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
• Strong research and teaching abilities
