Physician - Pediatric Rheumatologist
About the role
The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine is seeking an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics with expertise in Pediatric Rheumatology. The successful candidate will also serve as a faculty member within the Division of Rheumatology.
The primary responsibilities of this position include providing quality, cost-effective care to children at the Kentucky Children’s Hospital and the Kentucky Clinic, as well as outreach locations primarily in Eastern Kentucky. Additionally, the faculty member will participate in the education of students, residents, and the broader medical community.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care to children with rheumatic diseases
- Participate in clinical research and quality improvement initiatives
- Teach medical students, residents, and fellows
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to address complex pediatric cases
Requirements
- Completion of Pediatric Residency and Fellowship for Pediatric Rheumatology
- Unrestricted Kentucky Medical license
Qualifications
- MD, DO, or equivalent degree
- Strong clinical skills and experience in pediatric rheumatology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment

Pay
The salary range for this position is $180,000 - $220,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
Schedule
This is a full-time position with a typical work schedule of Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
