Pediatric Registered Nurse (RN) - $2500 Bonus

At Care Options for Kids, pediatric home health nursing is intentionally different. Instead of juggling multiple patients, alarms, and constant interruptions, you provide dedicated, one-on-one care in the home, allowing you to focus fully on your patient and use your clinical judgment with confidence. In this role, you'll care for pediatric patients with high-acuity needs while building consistent relationships with both the child and their family. This specific case involves a 15-year-old male, 175 lbs, with a PEG tube, low acuity. The role requires lifting; a Hoyer lift is in the home. The ideal candidate is patient, consistent, and willing to train. In addition to this opening, a variety of other cases and shifts are available to fit your schedule and career goals.
Eligible candidates may qualify for a sign-on bonus as part of their total compensation package; bonus eligibility and payout structure will be discussed early in the interview process.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, one-on-one skilled nursing care to pediatric patients in the home setting
- Manage care for patients with high-acuity needs including G-tube, trach, and vent (or willingness to train)
- Follow clear care plans and physician orders
- Lift and transfer patients as needed (Hoyer lift available in home)
- Build consistent relationships with patients and families
- Utilize clinical judgment autonomously in a calm, controlled environment
Requirements
- Current, active Texas RN license
- Current BLS CPR card (obtained in-person, not online)
- G-tube, trach, and vent experience, or willingness to train
- Ability to lift and transfer patients
