Carilion Clinic seeks a BC/BE fellowship-trained Pediatric Radiologist to join as a Core Faculty Member in the new Diagnostic Radiology Residency Program. Responsibilities
- Develop and lead the pediatric radiology curriculum for the Diagnostic Radiology Residency Program
- Mentor residents in research and quality improvement projects
- Support resident presentations at state and national meetings
- Teach medical students and residents from other specialties
- Receive an academic appointment with the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine
- Maintain a balanced clinical practice (~50% pediatric, 50% adult imaging) including subspecialty and general radiology cases
- Provide interpretation for a busy Level I Trauma Center and thrombectomy‑capable stroke center
- Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and quality improvement initiatives
- Utilize modern technology: hybrid work model with designated work‑from‑home days, full home diagnostic workstation with BARCO monitors, SECTRA PACS, PowerScribe One with AI‑assisted reporting, Epic EMR, Syngo.Via and TeraRecon advanced visualization, and dedicated reading‑room assistants during day and evening shifts
