Join the Division of Pediatric Pulmonology at The Mount Sinai Kravis Children's Hospital and the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City, NY as a clinically oriented full-time academic BC/BE pediatric pulmonologist, becoming the sixth member of the division.

About the Role

Candidates should have experience with all aspects of clinical pediatric pulmonology but will favor working in the inpatient setting supporting a robust consultative service in the hospital, PICU, PCICU, and NICU. Applicants should be enthusiastic about the care of infants and children with bronchopulmonary dysplasia and other developmental lung disorders and should have experience working with the technology-dependent population. Experience managing tracheostomy tubes is valued. In addition to general pulmonary inpatient and outpatient clinical work, expertise with flexible bronchoscopy is required. Interventional flexible bronchoscopy skills are valued. Further, the candidate will provide the leading pulmonary support for the multidisciplinary NICU-based Chronic Lung Care (CLC) Program, working closely with a team of providers including a neonatologist and a nurse practitioner in a well-established BPD program with expectations of weekly inpatient rounding, multi-disciplinary outpatient clinics, and active involvement in the institution's chapter of the BPD Collaborative.

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy degree from an accredited program
  • Successful completion of a 3-year Pediatric ACGME approved fellowship program
  • Eligible for New York State Medical License
  • Board certified or Board eligible in Pediatric Pulmonology
  • Experience with flexible bronchoscopy
  • Meet eligibility requirements for an appointment to the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ventilator management
  • Interventional bronchoscopy
  • Comfort with diagnosis and management of pulmonary vascular disease
  • Experience diagnosing and managing childhood diffuse and interstitial lung disease
  • Sleep medicine board certified/board eligible

Compensation

Compensation range from 240K to 295K (not including bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits). Mount Sinai Health System provides a salary range to comply with the New York City law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialties, historical productivity, historical collections, and hospital/community need. As such, an actual salary may fall closer to one or the other end of the range, and in certain circumstances, may wind up being outside of the listed salary range. The salary range listed is for full-time employment and does not include bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits.
