About the role
The Lisa Dean Moseley Foundation Institute for Cancer and Blood Disorders (LDMFI) at Nemours Children’s Hospital – Delaware is seeking an experienced, evidence-based Hematology/Oncology psychologist.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct clinical services within the pediatric Hematology/Oncology population, including both inpatient and outpatient services.
- Collaborate with medical teams and attend weekly multidisciplinary meetings.
- Support patients and families coping with medical illnesses and provide support for end-of-life care.
- Work alongside physicians, advanced practice providers, specialty nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and social workers.
- Serve as preceptors for externs, residents, and fellows in our Psychology Training Programs and pediatric medical residents on their Mental Health rotations.
- Engage in teaching, training, and mentoring efforts.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, program development, and other efforts to ensure the sustainability of psychosocial services.
- Opportunities for research, collaborating with Nemours Center for Healthcare Delivery Science.
Requirements
- Doctoral degree in clinical, counseling, or school psychology from an APA-accredited doctoral program.
- Internship training from an APA-accredited program in clinical child or pediatric psychology.
- Post-doctoral fellowship training in clinical child or pediatric psychology with preference for Hematology/Oncology focused fellowship.
- Licensure-eligible in the state of Delaware by the start of the position.

- Experience in providing evidence-based interventions for patients and families coping with medical illnesses.
- Ability to support end-of-life care as needed.
- Strong collaboration skills with medical teams and multidisciplinary groups.
- Effective teaching, training, and mentoring abilities.
- Interest and expertise in Hematology/Oncology.
