Pediatric Nurse - PRN

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) specialized in Pediatrics for an Operating Room (OR) in a pediatric acute care hospital. In this PRN role, you will provide nursing care to pediatric patients during surgery, performing assessments and interventions to ensure patient safety. You will assist physicians in executing the care plan and maintain continuity between the OR and patient care units.

Responsibilities

• Assessing pediatric patients pre- and post-operation
• Supporting physicians during procedures
• Ensuring safety protocols are followed
• Providing patient and family education when appropriate

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of OR experience in pediatrics
• Ohio RN license
• BSN degree or ongoing

Skills

• Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications; PALS preferred
• American Heart Association certification required
• CNOR certification and pediatric acute care experience are highly desirable
