Pediatric Nurse - PRN

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) specialized in Pediatrics and OR (Peds) for a PRN position in a pediatric acute care hospital. In this role, you will provide nursing care to pediatric patients in the operating room, perform patient assessments, and implement interventions to ensure safety during surgery. You will assist physicians in executing the plan of care and maintain continuity of care between the operating room and patient care units.

Responsibilities

• Assessing and intervening for pediatric surgical patients
• Supporting surgical procedures and patient safety
• Collaborating with medical staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of OR experience in pediatrics
• Ohio RN license
• BSN or in progress
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (PALS preferred)
• American Heart Association certification
• Prior pediatric acute care, plastic reconstructive surgery, or laser experience is a plus
• CNOR certification highly preferred
• Ability to pass background screening and onboarding requirements
