Pediatric Nurse Practitioner - Locum Tenens Coverage

About the role

This outpatient pediatric clinician provides care for patients aged 0-21 years in a private practice setting. The clinician will deliver high-quality pediatric care in accordance with established standards, with no call responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct outpatient clinical assessments and treatments for pediatric patients
• Manage a daily caseload of around 30 patients, ensuring efficient and effective care
• Utilize prescriptive authority within scope, including medication management and treatment planning
• Collaborate with support staff to facilitate smooth patient flow and quality care
• Provide outpatient pediatric services in a structured clinical environment
• Ensure compliance with pediatric practice standards
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and follow-up care

Requirements

• Board certification in relevant specialty
• Active Connecticut nursing license, DEA registration, and Medicaid number
• Prescriptive authority required

Skills

• Strong clinical skills in pediatric outpatient care

Schedule

Scheduled hours from Monday to Friday, including evenings and Fridays.
