About The Role
SJCH is seeking a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (NP) to provide comprehensive, whole-person care to patients. In this role, you’ll advance our mission of health equity by delivering high-quality, community-based primary care in a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment. You’ll work alongside medical, dental, and behavioral health professionals to deliver integrated services that make a real difference in patients’ lives every day.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive primary care for patients across the lifespan
- Conduct physical exams; order, interpret, and manage diagnostic testing
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated, whole-person care
- Educate patients and families on disease prevention, treatment plans, and healthy lifestyle choices
- Document patient care accurately and timely in the EHR system
- Support SJCH’s mission through clinical service, outreach, and community engagement
Schedule
- Full-time, 5-day workweek
- Includes two Saturdays per month as part of the regular schedule (when a Saturday is worked, a weekday off is provided during the same week)
- One evening clinic per week, scheduled from 11:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Requirements
For Nurse Practitioners (PNP):
- Master’s or Doctoral degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Completion of an accredited Pediatric Nurse Practitioner program
- National board certification (AANP or ANCC)
- Active, unrestricted California NP license
- NP Furnishing Number (or eligibility)
For All Candidates:
- Active DEA registration and BLS certification
- Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems
- Strong commitment to health equity, cultural humility, and caring for diverse communities
Pay
$160,000–$210,000 annually (commensurate with experience, skills, and licensure)

You will work as a float PNP across our Los Angeles clinic locations—providing care where it is needed most.
