Pediatric Neuroradiology Fellow
About the role
The Pediatric Neuroradiology Fellowship at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and Emory University offers a one-year non-ACGME accredited advanced fellowship. It aims to train fellows in all aspects of pediatric neuroradiology, with a focus on clinical neuroradiology, education, and research.
Responsibilities
- Under supervision of pediatric neuroradiology faculty, fellows receive hands-on training and engage in academic activities.
- Finalize diagnostic radiology reports with the supervision of a Professional Staff member.
- Attend educational programs and meetings at Children’s and Emory.
- Maintain responsibility for assigned patients’ care within the scope of current professional competence.
- Participate in quality management/improvement activities.
Requirements
- MD degree or equivalent American Board of Radiology certification or eligibility.
- Completed or scheduled to complete fellowship training in Pediatric Radiology or Neuroradiology before July 1 of the fellowship year.
- Meet requirements for medical licensure in the state of Georgia.
Qualifications
Fellows will have the opportunity to tailor their experience to areas of subspecialized interest and will be involved in various research projects and academic endeavors.
Skills
Knowledge of imaging strategies for pediatric care, understanding of CNS disorders in the pediatric brain, spine, head/neck, and fetus, and proficiency in core competencies specific to pediatric neuroradiology.
