Pediatric Neurologist/Neurointensivist

About the role

The Division of Pediatric Neurology at the University of Utah School of Medicine seeks a Pediatric Neurologist/Neurointensivist to join a thriving academic/clinical team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive care, including attending on the neurology ICU consultation service, staffing outpatient clinics, and offering both inpatient neurovascular consultations and acute telehealth and telestroke consultation and care through our Virtual Hospital and telestroke initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level care, including attending on the neurology ICU consultation service, staffing outpatient clinic, and providing both inpatient neurovascular consultations as well as acute telehealth and telestroke consultation and care through our Virtual Hospital and telestroke initiatives.
• Primary responsibilities will consist of clinical duties, comprising approximately 90% of the individual's time commitment.
• Primary clinical activities will take place at Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City, UT, Primary Children's Eccles Outpatient Building in Salt Lake City, UT, and Primary Children's Hospital Outpatient Clinics in Lehi, UT.
• Participate in education and scholarly activities, with opportunities in quality improvement and advocacy.

Requirements

Qualified candidates must be Board Eligible/Board Certified in both Pediatrics and Neurology with Special Qualification in Child Neurology. Subspecialty training in neonatal neurology, stroke, and/or neurologic intensive care is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

Required: MD or DO degree, Board Eligible/Board Certified in Pediatrics and Neurology with Special Qualification in Child Neurology. Subspecialty training in neonatal neurology, stroke, and/or neurologic intensive care is strongly preferred.

Skills

Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively in a team environment, and demonstrated leadership qualities are essential.

Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
