Pediatric Neurologist | Charlotte, NC

About the role

The provider team currently includes 3 physicians and 3 PNs. This position is a full-time opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Help to rotate coverage for the pediatric inpatient floor, PICU, NICU, and pediatric emergency department for one-week rotations with other child neurologists
• Manage ketogenic diet with the service line pediatric dietitian
• Offer care at Novant Health Hemby Children’s Hospital, which is a Magnet Health Care facility
• Participate in the NAEC level IV epilepsy center, which offers adult and pediatric epilepsy monitoring
• Manage a full-time pediatric neuropsychologist on staff and collaborate with the service line pediatric dietitian
• Provide care at the St. Jude Affiliate Clinic at Novant Health Hemby Children’s Hospital, which is recognized as a hemophilia care Center of Excellence
• Collaborate with other specialties such as neurology, cardiology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, pulmonology, infectious disease, oncology, hematology, sleep medicine, nephrology, developmental and behavioral pediatrics, and sports medicine

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of medicine
• Completion of an accredited residency program
• Completion of an accredited fellowship program specific to medical specialty (for specialty physicians)
• Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current MD license in appropriate state, Board certification or eligibility, Current DEA license required
