About the Role
A BC General Pediatric Neurologist is sought to join an academic team in a multidisciplinary children's hospital setting. The role involves practicing general pediatric neurology with opportunities for teaching, research, and collaboration within a supportive team including nurse practitioners and physician assistants.
Responsibilities
- Provide outpatient pediatric neurology care, seeing approximately 12 patients daily within defined visit times.
- Share inpatient pediatric neurology service weeks periodically.
- Participate in teaching in a 5-year ACGME-accredited Child Neurology Residency Program.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including neurosurgeons, therapists, psychologists, and nursing staff.
- Utilize advanced facilities such as 24/7 video EEG monitoring at a new children's hospital.
Requirements
- Board-certified in General Pediatric Neurology.
- Strong clinical, teaching, and research interests.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
