Pediatric Hospitalist, Riley Children's Health (IU WEST)
Key Responsibilities
- Primary practice location at IU West, in Avon--a suburb of Indianapolis
- Attend high-risk deliveries on a labor and delivery unit, rounding on normal newborns, and staffing Level II NICU that serves infants >32 weeks gestational age and >1500 grams at birth
- Faculty appointment with the Indiana University School of Medicine
- Teaching on service (pediatric residents and PHM fellows)
- Participation in departmental educational endeavors
- Encouraged to participate in scholarly pursuits
- 12 hour shifts, may be split between days and nights; 141 shifts per year
- Holidays and weekends are evenly distributed among all faculty
- Some opportunities for additional moonlighting at other IU Health facilities throughout the system
- Completion of pediatric residency
- Completion of PHM fellowship desired, but not required.
- BE/BC in pediatrics.
- Physician MD/DO licensed in Indiana or eligible for medical licensure.
