About the role
The Division of Hospital Medicine of the Department of Pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine has an opening for a PRN faculty position at CHRISTUS Children's as a Pediatric Hospitalist. This position comes with a faculty appointment within the Department of Pediatrics.
Responsibilities
- Provision of hospital care to pediatric inpatients, including overnight coverage
- Consultations and co-management of sub-specialty, surgical, and psychiatric pediatric patients
- Pediatric sedation
- Teaching fellows, residents, medical students, and staff
- Active involvement in inpatient quality, safety, and administrative activities
- Protected time for academic/scholarly activities in clinical informatics, outcomes research, child advocacy, education, or quality improvement
Requirements
- MD/DO degree
- Licensed by the Texas Medical Board (or eligible for same)
- Board Eligible/Board Certified in Pediatric Hospital Medicine
