Pediatric Hospitalist, PRN
Nemours Children’s Health in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a PRN clinical pediatric hospitalist to join a team of 12 physicians with over 120 years of combined experience in hospital medicine. The practice operates at our partner hospital, Wolfson Children’s Hospital, a 276-bed tertiary care facility serving as the only children’s hospital in five counties in north Florida.
About the role
The Division of Pediatric Hospital Medicine (PHM) provides comprehensive care to hospitalized children in north Florida and neighboring areas. The role involves teaching categorical pediatrics hospital medicine fellows, residents from the University of Florida-Jacksonville, family-medicine residents from affiliated institutions, and medical students from UF and Mayo Jacksonville. Faculty have access to all medical and surgical specialties and numerous ancillary services. The PHM program welcomed its first fellow in 2021 and will match its fourth fellow in July 2024. Faculty also serve in leadership roles across the hospital, residency program, utilization management, and clinical operations, and participate in the VIP network for multi-site projects.
Requirements
- Board-certified or board-eligible in pediatrics or PHM
- Able to obtain an unrestricted Florida medical license
