About the role
The facility is seeking a Pediatric Hospitalist Physician for locum tenens support.
Responsibilities
- Manage patient care in the hospital setting
- Perform procedures as required (excluding central line placement outside the newborn period)
- Assist with intubations for pediatric patients, typically in the Emergency Department
- Work under the supervision of Emergency Department doctors and anesthesia
- Use EPIC for electronic medical record keeping
- Meet certification and licensing requirements including active California license, DEA license, board certification, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, and Neonatal Resuscitation Program
Requirements
- Active California license
- Drug Enforcement Administration license
- Board certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program
Qualifications
- Experience in pediatric hospital medicine
- Knowledge of neonatal procedures and protocols
- Ability to work in a call schedule with 4-5 shifts per month starting in February
