Pediatric Hospitalist (Per Diem)
About the role
Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking board-certified Pediatricians to join our team at OhioHealth O’Bleness Hospital in Athens, OH on a per diem basis to provide coverage of the Newborn Nursery.
- Newborn nursery care with NICU support from Pediatrix Neonatologists – no pediatric floor coverage
- 24-hour shift of rounding plus offsite call
- Perform circumcisions
Responsibilities
- Provide expert pediatric consultations to the emergency department, offering timely assessments, recommendations, and treatment plans for pediatric patients
- Work closely with a team of pediatric hospitalists and neonatologists to provide coordinated and comprehensive care to patients, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment
- Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) initiatives and clinical research projects, contributing to the enhancement of patient care outcomes and best practices
- Exchange ideas and best practices with a large network of Pediatrix providers, including over 400 NICUs and several thousand providers
Qualifications
- Board Certified in Pediatrics required
- Minimum of 1 year post-residency experience required
- Active OH License or IMLC license preferred
- Recent clinical experience required (within the last 12 months)
