About the role

The Department of Pediatrics at Stamford Hospital seeks a Board Certified Part-Time Pediatric Hospitalist to join the team. The incoming Pediatric Hospitalist will oversee care of hospitalized pediatric patients as well as provide some Well Baby Care in the nursery. The Pediatric Hospitalist service also offers consultation to attendings in the Department of Pediatrics and Family Medicine and occasional back up in the NICU for deliveries.

Responsibilities

Provide oversight and care for hospitalized pediatric patients.

Offer Well Baby Care in the nursery.

Consult with attending physicians in the Department of Pediatrics and Family Medicine.

Occasionally assist in the NICU for deliveries.

Teach and provide medical consultation to Department of Surgery and Family Medicine residents as well as Physician Assistant students.

Requirements

B/C with Pediatric Hospitalist experience.

Excellent communication skills.

A desire to provide patient and family-centered care.

Qualifications

Board Certification in Pediatrics.

Current Medical License in good standing.

Skills

Strong clinical skills.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
