Pediatric Hospitalist

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated pediatric hospitalist to provide inpatient care at a busy hospital setting. The role involves managing an average of 10‑15 pediatric patients daily on hospital medicine shifts and treating patients admitted to medical, surgical, and intermediate care units. The hospital features both a PICU and NICU on site.

Schedule

• Mix of day and night shifts.
• In‑house night coverage from 6 PM to midnight.
• Home call from midnight to 6 AM.
• Work shift blocks of 3‑5 days, with flexibility for longer periods if desired.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high‑quality care to pediatric patients.
• Collaborate with experienced nurse practitioners for newborn nursery coverage (delivery attendance not required).
• Coordinate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain thorough documentation and adhere to hospital protocols.

Qualifications

• Strong clinical skills in pediatric inpatient care.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including nights.
