Responsibilities
- Teaching: Faculty member will have teaching responsibilities in Pediatric Hematology and Oncology.
- Teaching and Mentorship: Provide teaching and mentorship to medical students, residents, and Fellows when applicable.
- Research: Have working knowledge in basic research methods and participate in clinical, translational, and outcomes research.
- Service: Serve on departmental, hospital, or School of Medicine level committees when appropriate, and engage in professional activities such as journal review and conference presentations.
- Clinical: Serve as a physician for the Department of Pediatrics in the Division of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology, including all patient populations.
Qualifications
- Eligibility for medical licensure in Virginia.
- Board certified or board eligible in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology.
- Demonstrated ability to work in and foster an environment of respect, professionalism, and civility with a diverse population.
- Previous experience in an academic medical center is preferred but not required.
Pay
Salary range is commensurate with experience and expertise.
Schedule
Full-time position, 12 months per year.
