About the role
Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Opportunity, Columbia, SC
Prisma Health Medical Group-Midlands and the University of South Carolina, Department of Pediatrics is seeking a BC/BE Pediatric Hematology/Oncology physician.
This individual would join our robust sickle cell program that includes: a full time APP, physician, social worker, nurse navigator, clinic nurses, and neuropsychologist.
In addition, this individual will have the opportunity to collaborate with our upstate partners to help improve patient care and access for our pediatric and adult sickle cell patients.
Responsibilities
- Focus on sickle cell disease and benign hematology
- Join a full-time APP, physician, social worker, nurse navigator, clinic nurses, and neuropsychologist team
- Collaborate with upstate partners to improve patient care and access for sickle cell patients
- Participate in a robust sickle cell program serving close to 600 patients
- Grow the program with support from state funding and a committed community philanthropic partner
Requirements
- Board Certification in Pediatrics and Hematology/Oncology
- Experience with sickle cell disease and benign hematology preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
- Strong clinical skills and passion for patient care
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree
- Current medical license in South Carolina
- Successful completion of an ACGME accredited residency program in Pediatrics
