About the role
Mayo Clinic is seeking a board certified / board eligible pediatric hematologist to join our growing team. This role is focused on non-malignant, classical pediatric hematology, providing multidisciplinary, longitudinal care for children with inherited and acquired blood disorders, particularly bleeding and clotting, and bone marrow failure disorders.
Responsibilities
- Dedicated outpatient and inpatient care for children with non-malignant hematologic conditions.
- Collaborate with interventional radiology, surgery, genetics, dermatology, and other specialties in the Vascular Malformation Clinic.
- Contribute to the division’s educational mission through teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
- Engage in clinical research and collaborate with institutional discovery and translational efforts related to non-malignant hematology, bleeding disorders, and vascular anomalies.
Requirements
- Board certified / board eligible with the American Board of Pediatrics.
- Licensed or eligible to be licensed in the state of Minnesota.
- Specialized training in non-malignant hematology is encouraged.
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree.
- Completion of a pediatric residency program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).
- Completion of a hematology fellowship accredited by the ACGME or equivalent.
Skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary setting.
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of non-malignant hematology.
