About the Role

Join a mission-driven team dedicated to improving health outcomes for youth/young adults, and families experiencing homelessness in Greater Boston. The Pediatric Health RN provides compassionate, comprehensive, and developmentally appropriate care to children and families, while supporting the Family Team’s clinical operations.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver direct pediatric and adult patient care, including assessments, interventions, and health education
  • Manage quality improvement initiatives, regulatory compliance, and vaccine program
  • Serve as Vaccine Manager for the Vaccines for Children (VFC) program
  • Support public health measures tailored to the needs of youth and families experiencing homelessness
  • Collaborate with case managers to address health needs
  • Promote preventive health and early childhood development through education and outreach
  • Collaborate with Adult Health RN to ensure seamless care for all patients served by the Family Team
  • Lead coordination for pediatric population; serve as team leader for pediatric-focused partner programs (e.g. Reach Out and Read, Horizons for Homeless Children, MA State Lead Testing)
  • Lead and support quality improvement initiatives; assist with data monitoring and reporting
  • Collaborate with Adult Health RN and Family Team Leadership to develop and refine clinical protocols
  • Support clinical operations and supply management to ensure adherence to local, state, and federal healthcare regulations
  • Afford assistance in the transportation and distribution of supplies, medications, and vaccines between various sites
  • Contribute to policy and procedure development and staff education in collaboration with Family Team and BHCHP staff

Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse with a current Massachusetts license
  • BSN required; adult or community health experience preferred
  • Minimum of three (3) years of pediatric nursing experience
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a car for travel between sites required
  • Leadership experience with demonstrated management ability
  • Experience working with underserved populations, including youth and families experiencing homelessness
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish, Haitian Creole, or other languages commonly spoken by the population served.
