Pediatric Gastroenterologists, North Bay

About the Role

The Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition in the Department of Pediatrics at Stanford University is seeking pediatric gastroenterologists to join the Clinician Educator line at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor rank. The positions will be based at the North Bay clinical site in San Francisco, part of the Stanford Medicine Children’s Health enterprise.

The major criterion for appointment as Clinician Educators is excellence in the overall mix of clinical care, teaching, administrative, and/or scholarship appropriate to the programmatic need the individual is expected to fulfill. Academic rank and line will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.

Requirements

• M.D., D.O., or M.D./Ph.D. (or D.O./Ph.D.)
• Board certification in Pediatrics with subspecialty training in gastroenterology (typical candidate)
• Track record of research and innovation in clinical practice

Responsibilities

• Participate in the care and management of children with gastrointestinal disorders
• Engage in formal and informal teaching of pediatric residents, pediatric gastroenterology fellows, residents and fellows in other specialties, medical students, and other graduate students
• Opportunities for leadership roles may be available

About the Division

The Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition has grown dramatically over the past three decades and now includes nearly three dozen faculty. The division offers abundant resources, including equipment and nursing/administrative support. The Pediatric Gastroenterology Program is ranked among the top nationally by U.S. News and World Report.

Stanford Medicine Children’s Health is home to one of the nation’s largest pediatric solid organ transplant programs and offers robust ACGME-accredited fellowship programs in Pediatric Gastroenterology and Pediatric Hepatology. The advanced Pediatric IBD fellowship provides highly specialized training available at only a select group of centers nationwide. The division’s clinical program cares for more than 10,000 patients annually and is internationally recognized for its expertise in transplantation, gastroenterology, and nutrition.

Pay

The expected base pay range for this position is:

• Clinical Assistant Professor: $254,000 – $272,000
• Clinical Associate Professor: $294,000 – $312,000
• Clinical Professor: $349,000 – $376,000

This pay range reflects base pay, which is based on faculty rank and years in rank. It does not include all components of the School of Medicine’s faculty compensation program or pay from participation in departmental incentive compensation programs.
