Pediatric-Focused Social Worker (LICSW/LMHC)

About the role

The Social Worker is responsible for performing social work assessments and interventions with a predominantly (but not exclusively) pediatric panel of patients. They provide short-term clinical therapy, perform comprehensive assessments and develop treatment plans that integrate the medical, social, and resource issues impacting individual patients, families, and at-risk populations. They work collaboratively with all healthcare team members to develop and implement treatment plans supporting patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Provides psychosocial assessments of patients and families with social, emotional, interpersonal, and/or environmental issues.
• Formulates biopsychosocial assessment, disposition, and treatment plans.
• Collaborates with other professionals to evaluate patients' medical or physical conditions and assess client needs as part of the interdisciplinary team.
• Maintains, evaluates, and records client progress according to measurable goals described in the treatment and care plan.
• Works collaboratively with all healthcare team members to develop and implement treatment plans supporting patient-centered care.

Requirements

• Master of Social Work Degree (MSW) or Master of Counseling/Psychology/Related field from an accredited program required.
• Licensure: Requires current Massachusetts Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) or current Massachusetts Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC).
• Native or near-native fluency in Spanish preferred.
• Experience: 3-5 years required, and demonstrated experience working successfully with people of various backgrounds and lifestyles in a manner that engages ongoing self-reflection and continual learning.
• Skills: Demonstrated flexibility, autonomy, and capacity for necessary decision-making; extensive knowledge of current social work theory and practice; ability to conceptualize, interpret, and discriminateally apply theory to practice; good clinical skills in assessment, crisis intervention, and evidence-based behavioral health treatment; ability to make appropriate decisions under pressure, exercise good judgment, and take initiative; sensitivity to a variety of cultures, beliefs, sexual orientation, and lifestyle; excellent patient interaction and staff collaboration skills; ability to communicate well, both orally and in writing; highly developed interpersonal skills to interact effectively with multidisciplinary team members, both at the health center and with the larger community resources, and to interact with patients and their families.

Pay

LICSW Pay range minimum is $92,227. SIGN ON BONUS AVAILABLE For Eligible Non-MGB Employees: $10,000 FOR LICSW, Please ask about the details!
