Pediatric Emergency Medicine Physician

About the role

The Division of Emergency Medicine at Nemours Children’s Hospital, Delaware (NCH-DE) is seeking a board certified/board eligible Pediatric Emergency Medicine physician with an academic interest in clinical or translational research.

Responsibilities

• Care for approximately 58,000 patients annually in a 44-bed state-of-the-art facility.
• Staff the 6-bed behavioral health unit, which opened in 2023 and shares oversight with psychiatry.
• Participate in multi-center studies and quality improvement initiatives.
• Engage in research activities, including grant writing and study coordination.
• Teach and mentor residents and medical students from various programs.
• Contribute to the educational mission of the division, acting as a clinical home for residents and a teaching site for medical students and residents.

Requirements

• Board certification or eligibility in Pediatric Emergency Medicine.
• Prior research experience.
• Active membership in the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP).
• Experience with clinical and/or translational research.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree.
• Completion of a pediatric residency program.
• Successful completion of a Pediatric Emergency Medicine fellowship.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
