Pediatric Dermatologist
About the role
Baylor Scott & White Medical Center Temple is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Pediatric Dermatologist to join their Department of Dermatology. The position is based at BSW Temple, an academic referral center in central Texas that trains medical students and residents at their main hospital, a level I trauma center, and surrounding clinics. Affiliated with Baylor College of Medicine's Temple campus, the position offers an academic appointment.
Responsibilities
- Primary responsibilities include patient care and teaching in Pediatric Dermatology outpatient clinics within the Dermatology free-standing clinic.
- Opportunities to perform basic dermatologic surgery and laser surgery are available.
- Call coverage for inpatient consultations at McLane Children’s Hospital is shared among all faculty.
Requirements
- Licensed to Practice Medicine in the state of Texas by the Texas Medical Board by start date.
- Doctorate Degree in Medicine.
- Five years of experience in Pediatric Dermatology preferred.
Qualifications
- Currently board certified in his or her specialty or demonstrate active pursuit of board certification as defined by the appropriate specialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties or the Bureau of Osteopathic Specialists.
Benefits

The hospital features 112 patient beds and a 24-hour, level II pediatric emergency department. A level IV, forty-eight bed Neonatal ICU is located nearby on the main BSW Memorial Hospital campus.
