The Division of Pediatric Dentistry at Denver Health is recruiting for a Full Time Pediatric Dentist in Denver, CO.
Responsibilities
- Under minimal supervision, provides primary and comprehensive preventative and therapeutic oral health care for infants and children through adolescence, including those with special health care needs.
- Diagnose, prevent, and treat problems with teeth or mouth tissue.
- Perform extractions, preventative and restorative dental work on pediatric and special needs patients.
- Provide instruction on brushing, flossing, the use of fluorides, and other aspects of dental care.
- Administer anesthetics and write prescriptions for antibiotics and other medications.
Qualifications
- Post Graduate Diploma or Certificate Program Completion of Accredited Dentistry Program Required.
- DDS-Dentist - JCNDE - Joint Commission on National Dental Examinations Required.
- BLS Required.

- Medicine and Dentistry - Knowledge of the information and techniques needed to diagnose and treat human injuries, diseases, and deformities. This includes symptoms, treatment alternatives, drug properties and interactions, and preventive health-care measures.
- Judgment and Decision Making - Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.
- Critical Thinking - Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.

- Demonstrated proficiency with technology platforms, for example, the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Salary $229,600.00 - $240,400.00 / yr
