Pediatric Dental Anesthesiologist – Hybrid Pediatric & Adult | Per Diem | 1099 | $3,000/Day | Northern & Central New Jersey

About the role

Somnia Anesthesia, a physician-owned, clinician-led anesthesia group, is seeking an Anesthesiologist with pediatric dental anesthesia experience to provide office-based anesthesia services in established dental practices throughout Northern and Central New Jersey. Positions are located in well-organized dental practices with convenient access to the Route 287 corridor.

Responsibilities

• Provide office-based general anesthesia and IV sedation for pediatric (approximately 8–15 years) and adult dental patients.
• Work closely with experienced dental teams to coordinate anesthesia care, case flow, and patient recovery.
• Manage approximately 4–5 cases per day, each lasting about 1 hour depending on procedure.
• Handle a case mix of pediatric dental procedures, adult dental procedures, general anesthesia, and IV sedation.
• Maintain patient safety and apply strong clinical judgment in an office‑based environment.

Requirements

• MD or DO degree.
• Board‑certified or board‑eligible in Anesthesiology.
• Current, unrestricted New Jersey medical license.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Experience with pediatric dental anesthesia and/or office‑based anesthesia preferred.
• Comfortable providing general anesthesia and/or IV sedation in an office‑based setting.

Skills

• Strong clinical judgment and commitment to patient safety.
• Ability to work effectively with dental teams and manage case flow.
• Comfortable with general anesthesia and IV sedation techniques.

Pay

$3,000 per clinical day (1099 independent contractor).

Schedule

• Per diem scheduling flexibility.
• No nights, weekends, or on‑call responsibilities.
• Available days: Monday, Tuesday, and Friday.
