About the role

Somnia Anesthesia, a physician-owned, clinician-led anesthesia group, is seeking Per Diem Anesthesiologists to join their growing team at Island Health Hospital in Anacortes, WA.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Per diem rate: $3000/day
  • Additional stipends and hourly pay for call duty (not required, but encouraged)
  • Stipends range from up to $4800 depending on call taken

Practice Environment

  • Case mix: General, blocks, OB, Ortho, Uro, Gyn, podiatry, spines, GI, ENT and Peds (No heads, hearts or vascular)
  • 3 ORs, 1 Endo, and OB coverage for 3 labor rooms
  • Call: Remote pager call
  • Charting and software: EMR/EHR: Meditech Expanse – anesthesia charts on paper
  • MEDICATION MANAGEMENT/DIGITAL PHARMACY: Pyxis

Qualifications

  • Active Washington state license
  • BC required
  • BLS/ACLS/PALS

This Level 2 Stroke and Level 3 Trauma Center has been addressing the healthcare needs of the community for over 60 years. Services offered include cardiac rehabilitation, family and internal medicine, cancer care, gynecology and obstetrics, diagnostic imaging, sports and spine care, surgery, urology, pediatrics, PT, pulmonary rehab, and more. The hospital handles approximately 6,000 cases annually (Main OR: 2,803, Endo: 2,756, and OB: 438).
