Pediatric Daycare Driver (Part-Time)

About the Role

We are looking for a Pediatric Daycare Van Driver to provide safe transportation services for the participants of Manchester Pediatric Medical Daycare. The driver will transport children to and from the facility and may also assist with class trips and activities while maintaining a professional demeanor and adhering to our established care and activity procedures.

Responsibilities

• Drive children to and from the facility and other locations as needed for activities or trips.
• Assist children during pickup and drop-off, including securing them in and out of the vehicle.
• Wear a seat belt at all times when operating the vehicle and ensure compliance with seatbelt laws for all passengers.
• Properly secure wheelchairs and child restraints in the vehicle.
• Immediately report any medical or non-medical emergencies or incidents involving passengers to the Administrator or designee, and follow up afterward.
• Be familiar with safe lifting and moving techniques, including lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 40 pounds.
• Use all vehicle safety equipment properly.
• Report accidents, incidents, or changes in a child’s condition to the RN immediately.
• Record all entries on flow sheets, charts, and communication books.
• Comply with all state, local, and company policies, procedures, and laws.
• Maintain a professional image and attitude when interacting with clients, the public, and fellow employees.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid MAV (Medical Assistance Vehicle) certification.
• AHA CPR/AED certification.
• Pediatric experience preferred.
• Ability to perform job duties including sitting, standing, walking, lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 40 pounds.

Schedule

Part-time shifts: 6:00 AM – 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM.
