Pediatric CMA or LVN

Position Overview

The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) plays a vital role in supporting the healthcare team in a professional and compassionate manner within the clinic setting. This position is responsible for delivering high‑quality patient care, including administering immunizations and providing health education to patients of all ages in accordance with established clinical standards. The CMA/LVN prepares patients for examinations, obtains and documents vital signs and health information in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR), and assists providers to ensure optimal patient care and flow.

Responsibilities

• Administer immunizations and provide health education to patients of all ages.
• Prepare patients for examinations and obtain vital signs.
• Document health information accurately in the EMR.
• Assist providers to ensure optimal patient care and clinic flow.
• Coordinate and delegate referrals, prescribed medications, and other patient needs.
• Maintain medical supplies, medications, and equipment.
• Ensure accurate documentation of all care provided.

Qualifications

• Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) for Healthcare Professionals Certification (BLS).
• Licensed Vocational Nurse degree from an accredited school of nursing **or** national certification as a Certified Medical Assistant.
• Current unrestricted license from the Texas or Arkansas Board of Vocational Nurse Examiners (applicable to the clinic location) to practice as a licensed vocational nurse.

Preferred Qualifications

• One (1) year of practice experience as a CMA or LVN providing direct patient care.
