Responsibilities

  • Provides advanced level of direct and indirect care to individual patients/families and/or groups of patients/families in collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary team members.
  • Provides leadership and collaborates with other health professionals and educational resources to establish staff education programs to address the specific needs of populations of patients.
  • Demonstrates collaborative leadership with researchers, other health professionals, divisions, and departments to generate knowledge and make practice changes based on research findings, as well as, the results of the organizational and departmental quality improvement processes.
  • Provides leadership in meeting system, organizational, division, and departmental goals.
  • Demonstrates accountability for professional responsibilities and self-development.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree Advanced Practice Nursing, Master's Degree Nursing or Doctorate Advanced Practice Nursing required.
  • 3-5 years General nursing or clinical practice.
  • BASIC LIFE SUPPORT - American Heart Association required.
  • Nurse Practitioner certification (ANCC), Nurse Practitioner certification (AANP), Nurse Practitioner certification (AACN), Nurse Practitioner certification (CPNP) Pediatric Nursing Certification Board or Nurse Practitioner certification (NCC) National Certification Corporation required.

Qualifications

  • Advanced Practice Nurse Tennessee - Tennessee Board of Nursing, Advanced Practice Nurse Mississippi - Mississippi Board of Nursing or Advanced Practice Nurse Arkansas Arkansas State Board of Nursing required.
  • DEA (DEA) - Drug Enforcement Administration Drug Enforcement Administration required.
  • Registered Nurse Arkansas - Arkansas State Board of Nursing, Registered Nurse Mississippi - Mississippi Board of Nursing or Registered Nurse Tennessee - Tennessee Board of Nursing required.

Skills

Proficiency in applying advanced concepts, principles, and professional techniques in a specialized field of nursing. Such proficiency is acquired through completion of a master’s degree or higher in a nursing specialty and is demonstrated through national specialty certification as a nurse practitioner.
