Pediatric Cardiologist Specializing in Echocardiography and General Cardiology
About the role
The Division of Pediatric Cardiology at the Spencer Fox Eccles School of Medicine seeks Pediatric Cardiologists with expertise in echocardiography. The division reads over 18,000 echocardiograms annually, along with fetal echoes, cardiac MRIs, and CT angiograms.
Responsibilities
- Share in all clinical aspects, educational efforts, program development, and quality improvement initiatives associated with the echocardiography service.
- Rotate in covering the echo lab, and depending on qualifications, night and weekend call for emergency transesophageal echocardiograms or assisting with complex transthoracic studies.
- Participate in general cardiology night and weekend call with other Division members.
- Provide clinical service at Primary Children's Hospitals and outreach clinics.
- Engage in academic work including education, investigation/research, and administration.
Requirements
- Board Eligible/Board Certified in Pediatric Cardiology.
- Focused training and expertise in echocardiography.
- Fourth-year trained physicians, fellows with relevant experience, or general cardiologists with significant transthoracic echocardiography experience.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
- Must be eligible for licensure in Utah.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
