Specialty Pediatrics - Cardiology. Visas accepted. Practice details at Sanford Medical Center, which houses a 12-bed PICU and shares a floor with a 24-bed pediatric unit and a 40-bed Level III NICU.

Practice Details

• 12 bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)
• Additional flex beds as needed
• Floor shared with 24 bed pediatric unit
• 40-bed Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
• Outpatient pediatric medical subspecialty providers covering all specialties

Call Responsibilities

• Hospital consults and reads
• No clinic while on call

Specialized Services

• TTE and Fetal echocardiograms completed by in-clinic board-certified congenital sonographers
• Regional (State of North Dakota and Western Minnesota) Echocardiograms and ECGs read by cardiologists
• Outreach clinic: 8-10 patients scheduled with dedicated board-certified congenital sonographers traveling with providers
• Specialized pediatric lipid clinic as well as adult congenital heart disease clinics within the department
• Advanced imaging services available including congenital TEE, chest and coronary CTA, and cardiac MRI
• Excellent regional services available for interventional and electrophysiology cardiac catheterization as well as cardiovascular thoracic surgery support

Teaching Opportunities

Joint appointment as clinical faculty with the Department of Pediatrics at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences, teaching medical students, family medicine residents, and an upcoming pediatric residency in 2024.
